Maria IslandWinner of more Gourmet Traveller Travel Awards than any other experience on earth.

Recognised as one of Australia’s truly outstanding journeys, the award-wining four-day Maria Island Walk in Tasmania is the best possible way to explore the wonders of Maria Island; a unique island with no permanent population, no development and few visitors. Reconnect with nature and yourself in 4 days that will last a lifetime.

Escorted by expert guides your journey is packed with breathtaking scenery and countless highlights from the magnificent Painted Cliffs to the boundless views of white sand beaches and tall ancient forests. Picking a highlight may just be your biggest challenge...for some it may be a swim in the crystal clear ocean at dawn or a memorable encounter with a Wombat, while for others it may be learning of the island’s fascinating history, enjoying a candlelit gourmet dinner at your comfortable wilderness camp or perhaps just simply soaking up the tranquillity of this island paradise.
